Have you been frustrated with your
attempts at a healthier way of eating?
Change starts here!
If you have been looking to up the ante on your diet by adding in fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains and seeds you've found a friend to guide you along the way! This site is a living breathing resource where you can get support and encouragement for your goals, no matter where you're starting out. Whether you're a meat eater, vegetarian, or vegan we have some resources to get you started in your own time and on your own terms!
One thing you'll learn about me pretty quickly is I love to learn and I love to share. Perhaps you want to lose weight and or increase your energy. Or even, if you're like me, you want to cure yourself of asthma or, once that's done, improve the blotches on your skin (yes, sometimes vanity is a motivator). Whatever your reason, you'll need some momentum and know-how to keep you going and to get your eating habits in check. Especially because new brands are introduced at our local supermarket on a daily basis. The best way to stay informed in a way that allows you to make better choices is with a fabulous community and someone who will give it to you straight.
In addition to organizing small group gatherings here in New York City, I also conduct free teleseminars and webinars (so that you can attend from any part of the world) and help you to expand your knowledge with friends that I know have full integrity in the nutrition profession. So by now you may be thinking, well who the heck are you?
My name is Beatrice Johnston, and I feel it's my duty to share what I know about progressive health. I'm a sugar free vegan on a mission to help anyone around me to enjoy their lives more fully through self taught health. I know I look and feel the way I do because of the way that I eat, sleep and think.
Through my eating habits I've been able to heal myself of asthma, hypoglycemia, acne and extreme moodiness and I love to share the wisdom and insight of my 24 years of experience with others who want to make healthy transitions.
Though I became a vegetarian at 16, I didn't really understand anything about nutrition and the long term effects of our food choices until a few years later when taking a nutrition class in college. What I discovered really did change my life. I learned about food energy, calories, protein, digestion, manufacturing... it's amazing what I learned in just 16 weeks.
In addition to eating a vegan diet I also eat a lot of raw foods. I don't believe that a totally raw food diet is for everyone, or even most. I don't even believe that about a vegetarian diet. I believe that the majority of our meals must consist of nutrient rich raw healthy foods, and that it's really up to us as individuals to decide how far to walk the path.
I'm unusual in my thinking, and tend to attract friends and supporters that feel the same. And I'm one of those vegans that doesn't turn their nose up and hold their breath when someone else is eating meat, even though I don't eat it. Honestly, I think most people like that have missed the mark on what matters most. We all make different choices, and I simply believe that raw foods, whole grains, good sleep and honest friendships should be a part of everyone's daily routine (oh, and I'm spiritual, so God comes first since I think he designs it all).
By the way, If you're curious about raw foods in particular, or bored with your food choices in general, be sure to sign up for the Free Raw Momentum Success Kit! It's the best starting point to get you on your way to healthier eating.
So, What are your NEXT STEPS?
- Be sure to get the Success Kit. The audio has some great pointers on getting raw foods into your diet in an easy way, from what to buy when you go to the supermarket to what to pack when you pack lunch for work.
- Hop over to the blog so that you can get some daily pointers throughout the week. I've just migrated my blog to be on this site and make things easier for you, so just give me a few days to bring all of the content over. Each week I post videos, recipes, event listings and my routine so that you're never left bored or without inspiration. I also put special resources on the blog as they become available so you'll be one of the first to know .
- Lastly, If you're looking for some one-on-one coaching, you've missed the boat (sad face). I don't do one-on-one coaching anymore but depending on your goals can recommend the perfect coach for you.
In Love and Health,

Beatrice Johnston
